Biography

As Head of Family Office at DBS Private Bank, Yvonne is responsible for developing and delivering innovative solutions to meet the constantly evolving requirements of family offices and UHNW clients.  Be it navigating the complexities of multi-jurisdictional tax planning and wealth transfer strategies, or embarking on a philanthropic journey, Yvonne advises these clients on their structuring and other bespoke requirements. Most recently, Yvonne led the launch of the bank’s multi-family office. As the world’s first bank-backed multi-family office leveraging the Singapore variable capital company structure, the DBS Multi Family Office Foundry VCC offers an alternative option for UHNW families to manage their wealth.

Until 1 January 2023, Yvonne was the Regional Head of Legal & Compliance for DBS’ consumer banking and wealth management business. In this role, she was instrumental in the execution of many of the bank’s key business initiatives, including the acquisition of Societe Generale’s private banking and advisory businesses in Singapore, Hong Kong and the Dubai International Financial Centre, the launch of digital token trading and custody services, the integration of Lakshmi Vilas Bank in India and the acquisition of Citibank’s consumer banking business in Taiwan.

Yvonne is also an active contributor to the upskilling and transformation of the financial industry. Since 2018, she has been working closely with the Wealth Management Institute (WMI) and Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) to support efforts to enhance the IBF Standards and Curriculum, including co-writing and reviewing the Client Advisor Competency Standards (CACS) Study Guide and serving on the CACS Assessment Industry Panel. Yvonne also sits on WMI’s Expert Panel for Compliance, which advises WMI on the review and development of existing and new Compliance programmes, such as the Graduate Diploma Programme for Compliance in Financial Services.

Yvonne read law at the National University of Singapore and is admitted as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore, and as a solicitor in England and Wales.
