Biography

Teo Kok Chuan is a seasoned financial services professional with a distinguished career spanning over four decades in Singapore's life insurance sector. He is currently serving as a Director of Financial Services at Great Eastern Life Assurance Co Ltd. Holding esteemed qualifications such as Fellow Chartered Financial Practitioner (FChFP), CFP (China), AEPP®️ certified Associate Estate Planning Practitioner and a Diploma in Life Insurance, he also contributes to the industry as a Board Member of International Certification & Standard Boards (ICSB) under Asia Pacific Financial Services Association (APFinSA).

With extensive experience in both agency sales and management, Kok Chuan has established himself as a leading figure in the industry. His contributions to Great Eastern are marked by key roles such as Founding Chairman of GE Alliance Agency Finergy Connect and Founding President of GE Wan Cheng Hui. Within the company, he has garnered numerous accolades, including Life Membership in the Great Eastern Life Honours Club, Double Qualifier status (Producer & Manager), and multiple qualifications for the Million Dollar Round Table.

Beyond his achievements within Great Eastern, Kok Chuan has significantly impacted the broader insurance landscape. His expertise is sought after regionally, with speaking engagements in countries like Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, and Malaysia. He served as a Consultant for the Insurance and Financial Practitioners Association of Taiwan from 2003 - 2006 and was a keynote speaker at the 7th, 11th, and 19th Asia Pacific Life Insurance Congresses.

Renowned for his expertise, Kok Chuan is a highly sought-after lecturer. His motivational talks have inspired countless insurance professionals across the region. As a qualified lecturer within APFinSA, he has conducted FChFP courses in Taiwan and China since 2019, mentoring over 1000 graduates. Leading insurance companies such as Cathay Life, Shinkong Life (Taiwan), Citic-Prudential, China Life (China), Hong Leong Life, and Allianz Life (Malaysia) have benefited from his knowledge, reflecting his commitment to nurturing the next generation of insurance professionals.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Kok Chuan is dedicated to community service. He has conducted public seminars on financial planning and medical protection, contributing to initiatives like the Insurance & Financial Practitioners Association of Singapore (IFPAS) MediShield Life Pro bono 1 -1 Consultation Project and serving as an Ambassador for Nee Soon GRC.
