Mr. Wee's extensive involvement with IFPAS is marked by a series of impactful leadership roles, reflecting his steadfast dedication to the association's mission. Serving as the Immediate Past President in 2008-2009 and 2004-2005, President in 2007-2008 and 2003-2004, Vice President for Membership in 2002-2003, and Council Member in 2001-2002, his tenure has been characterised by visionary leadership and a focus on advancing the industry's standards.

Beyond his contributions to IFPAS, Edmund Wee's influence extends regionally, where he has played a pivotal role in the Asia Pacific Financial Services Association (APFinSA). As a key member of the Management Committee, APFinSA represents financial services professionals across ten member countries, serving as the primary cross-border association addressing critical issues and opportunities in the financial advice profession within the Asia-Pacific region.

Edmund Wee's leadership journey within APFinSA is distinguished by a series of significant roles, reflecting his regional impact and commitment to advancing the profession. He held the position of Immediate Past Chairman from 2015-2019, Chairman from 2013-2015, Vice Chairman from 2011-2013, and Honorary Treasurer from 2009-2011. Notably, he served as a Board Member and APLIC (Asia Pacific Life Insurance Congress) Co-Chairman from 2019-2023, further solidifying his influential position within the organization.
