Choo Wan Sim

Managing Director & Head of UOB TMRW Digital (SG) Personal Financial Services, UOB

Biography

Ms Choo Wan Sim joined UOB in 2008 and currently heads UOB Singapore’s Digital team. She is responsible for formulating the bank’s digital payment, acquisition, and engagement strategies for PFS and ensuring that UOB continues to deliver innovative digital products and customised solutions.

Prior to her current role, Wan Sim previously headed the UOB Singapore Cards & Payments business. A very seasoned payment specialist with more than 20 years of experience from payment innovations and development, customer acquisition, portfolio management and loyalty.

Under her leadership of Singapore Cards & Payments business, the bank continues to the market leader in Personal Credit Card, Commercial Cards & Acquiring in Singapore. She was instrumental in the innovation as well as launch of several new products such as the first Metal Card for the ultra-high net worth, first co-branded debit card with the national airline and the Ffrst bank in the world to integrate Visa’s API to provision our UOB card into e-commerce partner’s app.

She holds a Honours Degree, Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Techonological University.
