Overview

Stablecoins are digital payment tokens designed to maintain a constant value against one or more specified fiat currencies. When well-regulated to preserve such value stability, stablecoins can serve as a trusted medium of exchange.

Last August, the MAS announced the features of a new stablecoins regulatory framework that seeks to ensure a high degree of value stability for stablecoins regulated in Singapore.

Join this one-hour session where three practitioners share insights on the practical applications of the stablecoins regulatory framework as experienced in their different roles as venture capital investor, in-house legal counsel dealing with AML issues and litigator obtaining the grant of legal remedies by the Singapore Court to resolve disputes over stablecoins, as well as, what they see is the future of stablecoins in Singapore.
